A Futile Waltz

How can it be so banal
And yet irresistible
This bizarre dance
Of uncertainty

You and me
Taking one step forward
And two steps back
Back and forth
We sway in a rhythm
No one else can hear

We are waves
Kissing the shore
Only to retreat
Gather our frayed nerves
Praying this time
It will be different

Flirting with finality
Resisting the transience
But where will it all end?
In hello or in goodbye?

    1. Now that is a comforting thought. It is a beautiful way to look at it. Thank you, Josh. I’ve missed a lot while I’m away. I’m looking forward to catch up with you guys. It’s good to be back here. 🙂

      1. Hahaha. That made me laugh. Not bad. Just make sure not to say that to a love interest or you will be clobbered with a club.

      2. There are not many pinay here. Since the pinay are the angels of God, only an angel of God could have compassion on me. The majority of people here that i have the courage to talk to are chinese or korean. Usually those nationalities have no compassion on a sinner like me. God bless you for liking my article

      3. Oh, I’m afraid I’m no angel. But you are very much welcome all the same. And I hope you won’t close your door on other nationalities. Every country has its own beautiful people. You might be surprised what you can learn from them. We can all learn from each other. May God bless you too. 🙂

PS May I know where you are from, if you don’t mind?
