You look at the world in a rose-colored prism
with sanguine hope and staunch optimism
You recognise the beauty of wildflowers
in a sea of flouncing lavenders
You see the luster through draperies of gray
when the clouds swathe the skies of May
You notice the resolve of the fields of grass
under the burning days that don’t seem to pass
And you know that you exist
in a fragile and unstable miracle that is earth
So you revel in being alive
where only the wise seems to thrive
I love this description! As I read your poem my joy increased with each line. And I thought, Yes! There are others like me! 😊
