When I look at you
I see two deep seas of lies
When before your eyes
Are moonbeams in the dark
And when you open your mouth
My ears can only grasp
All the broken promises
You uttered in the past
We were a gorgeous mess
Of deceit and naivete
But now my eyes are rid of dust
And I see a void instead of stars
“We were a gorgeous mess” I can relate to this line 🙂
